Website hosting and security

This version uses Cloudflare Pages for hosting and content delivery, provided by Cloudflare, Inc., 101 Townsend Street, San Francisco, CA 94107, USA. When a page is requested from that service, technical information such as the IP address, request time, requested URL and browser information is processed to deliver the content and protect the service. Our legal basis is our legitimate interest in a reliable and secure website under Article 6(1)(f) GDPR.

Cloudflare may process data outside the European Economic Area. Its Privacy Policy and Customer Data Processing Addendum describe processing, retention and applicable international-transfer safeguards, including standard contractual clauses where applicable.

What this website includes

We do not add our own analytics scripts, advertising trackers, visitor accounts, on-site contact forms or third-party embeds. Images, styles and scripts are served with the website. This does not exclude the hosting provider's technical logging and security processing.

The graph and app images show illustrative readings. This website does not read your computer's sensors.

Your display preference

The selected design is stored in your browser's local storage under veymetra-site-theme until you clear that site's browser storage. The design also appears in navigation URLs, so it may be visible in browser history and server request logs. We use the preference to remember the appearance, not for tracking. A design specified in the page URL takes precedence.

When you email us

Contact links open your own email app with a draft. Clicking does not send a message or create a beta account. If you choose to send an email, we process your address, message and any details you provide, such as a GitHub username or Windows version, to answer you and manage beta requests. Email is hosted by IONOS SE.

The basis for processing a request to participate in the beta is Article 6(1)(b) GDPR; other enquiries are handled based on our legitimate interest in answering requests under Article 6(1)(f) GDPR. Correspondence is retained for as long as needed to handle the request and meet applicable legal obligations, then deleted.

External links

External websites are loaded only if you follow their links. Those providers then process your visit under their own privacy terms. This website does not receive your browsing activity on those sites.

Your rights

Where applicable under the GDPR, you may request access, correction, deletion, restriction or portability of your personal data, and object to processing based on legitimate interests. You may also complain to a data protection authority, for example the State Commissioner for Data Protection and Freedom of Information in North Rhine-Westphalia.
